Hello! My name is Andreas, as you should have figured out by now. I was born and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus. However I currently reside at Lancaster, UK. I am currently a PhD student at Lancaster University and working for CableNet Communication Systems Ltd.
My interests are varied, and I believe this site reflects that, but the main focus computers and technology
Some facts about me:
- I am a Computer Science (Innovation) graduate. I am currently doing my research that would eventually (hopefully) lead into a PhD. degree.
- Since 2004 I picked up photography, and up until today I can’t call myself other than a newbie. I really hope to take photography classes sometime. I find it relaxing.
- I like traveling. I feel myself blessed, because I had the chance to travel a lot since a little kid. This has impacted a lot on my character and ideas. I also like the PhD because of this.
- My computer-related interests are
loadsnarrowing. My research interests move around Autonomic and Next-Generation Networks, while my skill-set includes programming and network design & engineering. - I love music. It started from rock, accommodated alternative and embracing Jazz and Blues. If I could name a song that describes me it would be Muse – Knights of Cydonia
- If I had a chance to do a second degree it would be Physics.
